Scout Activities about Islam in Basingstoke

Scouts is open to everyone; we don’t identify exclusively with one faith and that inclusivity is a core value of scouting worldwide. With that in mind, you can approach activities to learn about Islam in a way that respects the diverse backgrounds of all scouts.

To facilitate non-Muslim scouts in Basingstoke getting to know Islam, we regularly organize educational sessions or events that provide information about Islam, its beliefs, practices, and culture. Here are some activities e.g;

  • Introduction to Islam Workshop
  • Q&A Sessions
  • Mosque Visits
  • Cultural Experiences
  • Interfaith Dialogue
  • Cultural Celebrations
  • Field Trips

DIY Activities Basingstoke Muslim Scouts

DIY projects in Basingstoke Muslim Scouts are both fun and educational for scouts,  fostering creativity, teamwork, and practical skills. Currently we are practicing following activities with our young Beavers/Cubs:

  • Naming DIY Tools
  • Electrical wiring of a plug
  • Bathroom Taps
  • Drilling a hole
  • Field Trips
  • Workshops

These DIY activities not only provide fun and engagement but also instill valuable skills, cultural knowledge, and a sense of community and service among the Basingstoke Muslim Scouts. By integrating Islamic teachings and values, these activities can help build a well-rounded and enriching scouting experience.

There are further projects  & field trips will be added in coming future. Please visit our website for further updates.
